Beef and butter fat fast – day five

I am doing another, final day on the beef and butter fat fast. This will be my fifth day doing this very strict keto eating plan.

Weight this morning: 173 3/4 lbs. It is still moving in the right direction, though it is slowing down. That said, From Monday when I began this plan, I’ve lost about 2 lbs. I’m saying about because it isn’t quite two pounds. I was 175 3/8 lbs when I began. You can read about my starting point here

However, even though I have seen some fairly consistent results, I just can’t face the thought of more beef, seriously. Instead, I’m going to be moving into the beef and butter substitutions zone to make things much more doable for me. I’ve got bacon in the fridge, as well as lovely smoked salmon and I’ll use those, as well as the very nice Polish and French sausages we’ve got as substitutes. Furthermore, I’m going to try and get more of my fats through drinking coffee and green tea with oil, and instead of half an avocado, I’ll have a full one, because half is approximately about 1 tbsp of fat. There’s also a lovely Angus beef steak fillet defrosting in the fridge as I speak for dinner tonight.

I think doing substitutions on day five is going to help me ease into doing a much more healthy keto diet tomorrow when I get off this plan. I plan to post eventual results, so a kind of post plan update on Monday, a week after I started this journey.

Breakfast: Broke my clean, water only fast at 10.25. I had 1 cup green tea with 1/2 tsp Stevia and 1 tbsp coconut oil. Technically, this is like a bullet-proof coffee, so I’m supposedly still fasting. The beef and butter fat fast says your bullet coffee or tea does not break your intermittent fast for the day. I’m really struggling with consuming all of the fats recommended. I didn’t have 2 tbsp of oil/fat as I should, only 1, and I’ll try having another drink with the other tbsp at some point to keep my macros up.

NSV (non-scale victory): I had bought a pair of size 14 skinny jeans, and they turned up on Monday. When I tried them on, they fitted, but I was definitely having a muffin top showing. Tried them on last evening to go to the knit and natter and they fit fine. So I might not be loosing too much on the scales, but I am loosing in the body fat area.

11.25: First proper meal of the day. 1/2 an avocodo with 1 tbsp clotted cream, 1/2 tsp Stevia, 1/8 tsp cocoa powder.

Lunch: 12.58: 2 tbsp peanut butter, 20 almonds and one long Polish sausage.

Dinner: 15.35: 2 eggs with 1 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp coconut oil. This is my left-over from yesterday. I’m having a tsp full at a time and almost gagging as I eat it. I’m so excited to be done with this fat fast.

Tomorrow I’m going to really enjoy adding broccoli and cauliflower and other vegetables into my diet again. I’m planning on closing my eating window early tonight. I’m craving fruits, and the bananas and apples sitting in our fruit bowl look utterly tempting right at about now.
